Summary

This research project under contract of the Swiss Federal Office of Energy has the objective to develop a cost efficient and environmentally feasible heating system for low energy buildings. A feasibility study and enhanced problem analysis have been carried out by means of a dynamic simulation program (TRNSYS). The yearly overall costs of a heat pump heating system at small capacity and low distribution temperature are in the same range as for a conventional oil heating system.
