International heat pump status and policy review. 1. Analysis. 2A. National position papers.

Summary

This review results from a joint project of the IEA Heat Pump Centre and the IIR, on the status and perspectives of heat pumps in 25 countries. Every country review is very large and contains basic information (on climate, energy balance, etc.), the energy and environmental policies, the technology status and research and development, as well as a heat pump market study. A synthesis compares data from 16 countries. The report is composed of 3 volumes: 1. Synthesis and the comparison of data from 16 countries: Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, The Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the USA. 2A. Detailed country reports (from 21 to 73 pages) of these countries. 2B. This volume (not yet published) will be abstracted in the next Bulletin.
