Summary

This paper presents features a propane centrifugal compressor operation in a natural gas low-temperature condensation complex refrigeration unit, with propane/ethane and propane/ethane/isobutane mixture, at different mass concentrations, as a working fluid. The analysis of the working fluid in order to determine the optimal concentration of propane/ethane (R290/R170), propane/ethane/isobutane (R290/R170/R600a) was performed. The possibility of environmental conditions use is evaluated, in order to increase energy efficiency of refrigeration installations. The features of low-temperature condensation complex refrigeration units are considered. Exergy analysis of refrigeration units to determine the exergy destruction in individual system elements is performed.
