Maintaining quality in cooling-tower water.
[In Japanese. / En japonais.]
Author(s) : SAKAI Y.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The cycles of concentration for cooling tower water can be used to eliminate metal corrosiveness in the water. However, there can be a risk of propagation of microorganisms, including L. pneumophila, in the water, leading to problems like slime and scale in the condenser tubes. For good water quality a stability index of about 6.7 is recommended.
