MARKET NEEDS FOR TEMPERATURE AND TIME-TEMPERATURE MONITORING DEVICES.

Author(s) : LONDAHL G.

Summary

THE QUALITY OF CHILLED AND OF FROZEN FOODS DEPENDS ON A NUMBER OF FACTORS BUT ASSUMING THAT HIGH QUALITY RAW MATERIALS ARE USED UNDER APPROPRIATE PROCESSING CONDITIONS AND THAT PROPER PACKAGING MATERIAL IS USED THE STORAGE AND DISTRIBUTION TEMPERATURE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR. STORAGE TEMPERATURE WILL HOWEVER STILL BE OF LARGE IMPORTANCE FOR MOST PRODUCTS. THERE IS AN OBVIOUS NEED FOR TEMPERATURE CONTROL IN STORAGE AND DISTRIBUTION OF FOODS AND IF TEMPERATURE MONITORING IS COMBINED WITH TIME MONITORING THIS IS AN OBVIOUS ADVANTAGE IN ORDER TO ENSURE HIGH QUALITY PRODUCTS TO THE CONSUMER.
