Summary
A mathematical model is presented that can be used to simulate the behaviour of a rotary compressor for room air conditioners, operating on a calorimetric test rig in an open cycle. The mathematical studies were done with a microcomputer. The compressor was run on air and R22, and its characteristics were similar. The authors conclude that the mathematical model presented can be used to determine the characteristics of compressors running on a closed cycle. C.C.
