Measurement and modelling of liquid-vapour equilibria and volume properties applied to refrigerant mixtures.

Author(s) : RIVOLLET F., COQUELET C., JARNE C., et al.

Summary

In this work, three apparatuses are presented to obtain vapour-liquid equilibrium and pressure-volume-temperature (PVT) data. Several binary and ternary systems containing new and old refrigerants were studied: binary and ternary systems with R227ea, R32, and R290; binary systems of R227ea or R32 with CO2 or SO2; ternary system with DME, R125 and R134a; binary systems of DME with R134a or R32. Modelling is achieved with two kinds of model. The first one is a thermodynamic model with equations of state and mixing rules. The second one a mathematical tool based on neural networks. The latter is used to represent PVT data within experimental uncertainty.
