MEASUREMENT OF PRESSURE CHANGES IN AN AMMONIA LIQUID RECEIVER EXPOSED TO SOLAR RADIATION IN KUWAIT.

Author(s) : STERA A. C.

Summary

THE AUTHOR DESCRIBES AN EXPERIMENT TO INVESTIGATE THE PRESSURE VARIATION IN A LARGE AMMONIA RECEIVER EXPOSED TO SOLAR RADIATION. DETAILS ARE GIVEN OF THE MEASURING METHOD ADOPTED, INSTRUMENTATION USED AND VARIATIONS IN THE AMBIENT TEMPERATURES AND HUMIDITY OVER A 24 HOUR PERIOD. THE RESULTS ARE INTERPRETED AND PRESENTED IN A MANNER WHICH WILL ENABLE DESIGNERS TO MAKE A MORE ACCURATE ASSESSMENT OF A SYSTEM DESIGN STANDING VAPOUR PRESSURE IN TROPICAL COUNTRIES.
