THE AUTHOR PRESENTS A HIERARCHICALLY STRUCTURED MULTI-COMPUTER SYSTEM, FOR A HEAT PUMP CENTRAL HEATING PLANT, MADE UP OF A MAIN COMPUTER WITH DISPLAY, PRINTER AND INPUT KEYBOARD AND A MAXIMUM OF 32 MODULES. THESE LOCALLY ASSUME CONTROL FUNCTIONS SUCH AS CONTROL OF THE FLOW RATE OF HEAT PUMPS AND OF THE HEATING CIRCUIT, OPTIMIZATION OF THE CONTROL OF THERMAL STORAGE LOAD, ETC. THE CENTRAL UNIT COORDINATES THEM, AND PROVIDES ACQUISITION AND READING-IN OF THE OPERATING CONDITIONS OF THE CONNECTED UNITS. IT IS EQUIPPED WITH CONNECTION CONTACTS FOR THE SERIAL TRANSFER OF DATA WITH THE MODULES AND A SUPERIOR DISPATCHING STATION.
