Summary

Legionellosis is a disease that can be lethal. It is caused by bacterial contamination arising from certain manufacturing equipment, hot-water systems and cooling towers in particular. This book does not handle the medical aspects of the disease and the bacteriological issues involved; instead, it aims to provide recommendations, in some cases very comprehensive, on means of minimizing the risks of development of Legionnaires' disease, including the design of new plants, the testing and adapting of existing plants, and correct plant management and maintenance.
