Mix of ammonia/octafluorocyclobutane (R-717/RC-318): a new working body.

Summary
This article examines the use of azeotropic mixtures of ammonia with material, reducing risk of its ignition and raising energetic efficiency cycle of the refrigeration machines. The use of the refrigerant RC-318 is also discussed. The experimental studies on the phase balance mixture of ammonia were conducted with octafluorocyclobutane and an identical thermodynamic model of the behaviour on base of the cubic equation of the condition was developed. A calorimeter refrigeration compressor was used with the mixture. It was shown that before round-robin testing, fluorine hydrocarbon raises thermodynamic efficiency of refrigeration cycles, working on pure ammonia.
