Summary
The paper considers some issues and possibilities to apply carbon dioxide mixtures with hydrocarbons as working substances for refrigerators. Phase equilibriums of examinees of mixes are considered and calculation results for the one-stage refrigeration cycle on the given mixtures are presented. Mixtures of carbon dioxide with hydrocarbons allow receiving temperatures in the evaporator much lower than the triple point for R744. The analysis shows that the studied mixtures could be considered as working substances for refrigerators.
