Thermodynamic properties of the natural refrigerants: mixtures based on carbon dioxide-hydrocarbon.

Summary

To calculate thermodynamic properties of refrigerants and their mixtures an equation of state applicable to both liquid and vapour phases is presented. A technique for determining the equation of state constants based on the data for one or two phase regions is suggested. The equation of state predicts with sufficient accuracy both thermal and head properties of substances, except in the region close to the critical point. The article shows how the equation of state can be expanded for binary and multicomponent mixtures.
