BOTH LAMINAR AND NON LAMINAR FLOW MATHEMATICAL MODELS TO SOLVE THE SIMULTANEOUS DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS OFHEAT AND MASS TRANSFER ARE DISCUSSED. THESE EQUATIONS ARE ALSO SOLVED BY NORMAL FINITE DIFFERENCE TECHNIQUES FOR COMPARATIVE PURPOSES. MODELS BASED ON THE CONCEPT OF TURBULENT DIFFUSIVITY AND A CASCADE OF LAMINAR EXCHANGERS AND PERFECT MIXERS ARE ALSO INCLUDED. SOME EXAMPLES OF RESULTS FROM THE MODELS ARE GIVEN IN DIAGRAMMATIC FORM.
