Author(s) : KWIDZINSKI R., MIZERA G., KARWACKI J., et al.

Summary

The control systems are applied to cold stores which allow to control the cooling capacity of the refrigeration devices. The concept of the control system for the indirect cooling was presented in the paper for the case of the cold store for vegetables of low capacity. The cold storage vessel plays a key role in this system. The theoretical dynamic model of the indirect cooling systems was presented in the paper. The model comprises of the dynamic model of the refrigerating system, model of the glycol system along with cold storage vessel, and model of the cold store. All components are described by means of lumped parameter models. The thermal performance of the cold storage vessel was established on the basis of the separate investigations. The model is based on the set of ordinary differential equations with initial boundary conditions. The operation of the system was analysed on the basis of formulated model which leads to assessment of the thermal conditions of stored vegetables in terms of variations of temperature and humidity of air in the cold store.
