Summary

THE STUDY OF PLATELETS CRYOPRESERVED IN PRESENCE OF 5% DIMETHYLSULFOXIDE SHOWED A 50% OVERALL LOSS OF PLATELETS. THOSE SURVIVING FREEZING AND RECONSTITUTION SHOWED A MARKED MORPHOLOGICAL DETERIORATION, AN INCREASE IN THE PROCOAGULATING ACTIVITY, A DECREASE IN AGGREGABILITY AND IN THEIR ADENINE NUCLEOTIDE RATIO.
