Summary

THE CRYOPRESERVED PLATELETS (IN 4% DIMETHYLSULFOXIDE) HAVE LESS DISCOID SHAPES THAN FRESH PLATELETS. THE CRYOPRESERVED PLATELETS OFTEN HAVE THE SHAPE OF SPHERES CONTAINING AN INCREASED NUMBER OF VACUOLES ; THE SPHERICAL PLATELETS ARE MORE TRANSPARENT TO ELECTRONS WITH MARGINATION AND PALLOR OF ORGANITES. THE PHAGOCYTOSIS OF LATEX IN VACUOLES IS STRONGLY AFFECTED IN CRYOPRESERVED PLATELETS. (Bull. CNRS, FR., 80-359-674.
