Multi-stage absorption heat pumps for heat and cold production. Doctorate thesis.

Pompes à chaleur à absorption multiétagées pour la production du chaud ou du froid. Thèse de doctorat.

Author(s) : SCHWARZER B. P.

Type of monograph: Doctoral thesis

Summary

The author presents the principles and performances of multistage absorption heat pumps for heat and cold production. The main performance criteria of the different types of absorption heat pumps are described. The author develops a high-performance multi-stage heat pump for building air conditioning. The characteristics of the working fluid are analyzed and the following pairs are proposed: ammonia-sodium thiocyanate and ammonia-lithium nitrate. Extract from the table of contents: principles and performances of multistage absorption heat pumps; a new high-performance multistage absorption heat pump for building air conditioning; transfers in streaming films; study of a compact evaporation-condensation cell consisting of two superposed vertical tubes; an absorption heat transformer for premise heating using the natural thermal dipole seawater-cold wind.
