Summary

In order to evaluate the overall performance of the heat exchangers of refrigeration systems using nanorefrigerant, the boiling heat transfer process of nanorefrigerant was researched. Firstly, the migration of nano-powders in the boiling process was experimentally and theoretically studied; secondly, the measurement and correlation on the nucleate pool boiling heat transfer characteristics of nanorefrigerant were performed; finally, the measurement and correlation on the flow boiling heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics were performed. The results showed that the migration ratio of nano-powders is related to the nanorefrigerant composition and heating condition; the higher thermal conductivity of nano-powder, the smaller diameter of nano-powder (including spherical nanoparticle and CNT) and the larger length of CNT are beneficial to the enhancement of the nucleate pool boiling heat transfer; the flow boiling heat transfer coefficient and frictional pressure drop of refrigerant-based nanofluid are larger than those of pure refrigerant.
