Native Ilama fruit Annona diversifolia Saff, of the state of Guerrero, Mexico, under controlled atmosphere.

Summary

There are three colours of pulp in this species (pink, white and red). Fruits with pink pulp has less firmness, more soluble solids, thicker skin, higher weight of seeds, and less number of seeds than the red type. These fruits had a climacteric behaviour and the growth was approximately doubled sigmoid. Respiration rate was greatly modified under controlled atmosphere, and ethylene production was 50% lower.
