Summary

In modern sport major opportunities of breaking world records are connected with unique ice surfaces created by the basis of research studies in the field of target modification of crystalline structures of ice. A considerable improvement of sliding characteristics as well as an increase in ice force can be achieved by means of introduction of micro doses of high polymeric compounds which create after the crystallisation a space lattice with characteristic dimensions subject to configuration. Size and concentration of macro molecules. From a position of modular design as a basic method of dynamic generalized crystallography this paper: suggests general principles of selection of organic compounds introduced in ice; describes the mechanism of formation of a hydrated envelop as a result of interaction between introduced compounds and periodic water structures; identifies the groups of the most effective compounds (their chemical composition, flexibility, structure of a mono ring and configuration of macrochains) which have a major influence on macroparameters of ice, such as force, plasticity and sliding friction force. Moreover, this work identifies the discovered experimentally optimum range of introduced compound concentrations. Technologies of ice structuring got an approval at speed skating World Cups and other high rank international competitions.
