Number: pap. n. 850

Summary

The ILK Dresden develops special cooling units for various application, e.g. superconducting devices. These units provide a cooling capacity from a few W up to a few kW. For the handling of large helium gas flows a refrigerator unit has been developed which is able to provide a cooling power of at least 100 W near 4 K Furthermore, a modular cooling system is working down to a few millikelvin with easy access to the sample chamber. Based on our cryostat developments and cryogenic experiences a high-density storage system for natural gas for automotive application was created. This system is working down to about 200 K with pressures up to 20 MPa.
