Summary
Hanguang, derived from the cross Dongguang x Shengli made in 1978 and released in 1992, produces cylindrical fruits weighing 200 grams on average, but reaching 310 grams. The skin is yellowish green covered with a red blush. The flesh is fine, crisp and juicy with an acid-sweet flavour and a soluble solids content of 14.2%. Fruits have good storability. Trees bear early, are high yielding and tolerate temperatures as low as -37.7 deg C.
