New refrigerants for split-type air conditioner.
Author(s) : YAJIMA R., DOMYO N., TARUTANI I.
Summary
The paper deals with the improvement of energy efficiency of a split-type air conditioner using R407C. When the refrigerant R407C is charged into R22 system, its COP decreases, because the theoretical COP of R407C and the heat transfer performance of zeotropic refrigerant deteriorate. New heat transfer tubes for zeotropic refrigerant, improvement of compressor efficiency and utilization of zeotropic refrigerant characteristics to a refrigerant circuit will be available. Out of these improvements, the paper focuses on the improvement which utilizes subcooling effect of zeotropic refrigerant.
