Summary

On the occasion of the inauguration of the retrofitting work of the CEMAGREF (Antony, France) tunnel for testing transport vehicles under controlled temperature, the author outlines the CEMAGREF functions in general and more particularly in the field of official checking of vehicles or devices under controlled temperature, thanks to the 3 test tunnels (2 in Bordeaux, 1 in Antony) operated by this center in France. Then the nature of the retrofitting work carried out on the Antony tunnel, its technical characteristics, the nature of the tests which are practised there and the principle of the instrumentation used are described.
