Nitrogen production based on pressure swing adsorption.
Author(s) : SCHULTE SCHULZE BERNDT A.
Summary
The nitrogen production based on the pressure swing adsorption process (PSA-process) using carbon molecular sieve has been known for more than twenty years. The discovery of the separation process, the basics of the PSA-nitrogen system as well as industrial PSA-nitrogen plants are described. An overview is given for combined systems to cover special requirements and consumption profiles at the users side. Finally new developments are presented.
