Oxygen production by pressure swing adsorption.

Author(s) : GRAHL M., LEITGEB P.

Summary

Oxygen production by pressure swing adsorption (PSA) has become the major alternative to the cryogenic process. This is especially true for small and medium plants built for on-site production. Due to its long-year experience in adsorption processes, Linde was able to significantly reduce the cost of oxygen produced by PSA plants. This was achieved by: optimization of the process parameters; new adsorber configuration; improved control strategies; standardization and improved load adjustment. It will be shown how all these aspects work together in realizing the best solution under the specific conditions of the customer.
