Type of article: Article

Summary

NZP within a small cryocooler-cooled niobium-tin tape-wound magnet operating at 10-12 K is analyzed experimentally and theoretically. NZP refers to growth of the region in a superconducting magnet where the transition from the superconducting to the normal resistive state has occurred.
