NUMERICAL A.D.I. METHOD FOR THE BIDIMENSIONAL STEFAN PROBLEM -APPLICATION TO A GEOTECHNICAL PROBLEM.

PROBLEME DE STEFAN BIDIMENSIONNEL TRAITE PAR UNE METHODE NUMERIQUE (A.D.I.). APPLICATION A UN PROBLEME GEOTECHNIQUE.

Summary

TO STUDY THE THERMAL BEHAVIOUR OF THE GROUND SURROUNDING AN UNDERGROUND CRYOGENIC STORAGE, THERE ARE THREE MEANS: 1. THE TWO-DIMENSIONAL ENTHALPIC MODEL PROPOSED IN 1986 BY CAMES-PINTAUX USING THE FINITE ELEMENT METHOD ; 2. EXPERIMENTAL MEASUREMENTS IN THE PILOT STATION ; 3. THE A.D.I. FINITE DIFFERENCE METHOD ; THIS METHOD, FOR THE RESOLUTION OF THE TWO-DIMENSIONAL STEFAN PROBLEM IS PRESENTED. RESULTS OBTAINED BY THE THREE METHODS ARE IN CLOSE AGREEMENT IN THE STUDY OF THE UNDERGROUND PILOT STATION.
