Summary

BASED ON THE OBSERVATION OF THE SUPERCOOLED SOLIDIFICATION PROCESS OF WATER, A SIMPLE PHYSICAL MODEL SIMULATING THE PROCESS IS PROPOSED, AND A NUMERICAL ANALYSIS PROCEDURE BY FINITE DIFFERENCE METHOD IS SHOWN PRECISELY. THE VARIATIONS OF THE SOLID FRACTION AND THE TEMPERATURE OF EACH MESH ELEMENT ARE CALCULATED SIMULTANEOUSLY. THE ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF TIME DEPENDENCIES OF TEMPERATURE DISTRIBUTION AND DENSE PHASE FRONT AGREE WELL WITH THE EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS USING PURE WATER.
