Summary
This paper develops a numerical simulation for analyzing the thermodynamic performance of the four-valve type of pulse tube refrigerator. The numerical results show that the four-valve type of pulse tube refrigerator is competitive with the double-inlet pulse tube refrigerator and the Stirling refrigerator in cryogenic temperature ranges but not efficient in room temperature cooling.
