Summary

SINCE THE HEAT (COLD) PRODUCED BY AN ADSORPTION HEAT PUMP IS DISCONTINUOUS, THE INFLUENCE OF CONTROL CAN BE VERY IMPORTANT FORSATISFYING THE REQUIREMENTS. THE CONTROL STRATEGY OF AN ADSORPTION HEAT PUMP WAS NUMERICALLY STUDIED, CONSIDERING THE CASE OF A SLAUGHTERHOUSE WHERE THE DEMAND FOR DOMESTIC HOT WATER IS EXTREMELY UNSTEADY. IN THE CASE OF A CYCLE WITH 2 ZEOLITE-WATER ADSORBERS, THREE PARAMETERS PLAY AN IMPORTANT ROLE: FLOWRATE OF THE HEAT TRANSFER FLUID, STORAGE VOLUME, AND BOILER CAPACITY. THE SIMULATION USING A BOILER CAPACITY OF 230 KILOWATTS AND A STORAGE VOLUME OF 20 M3 MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO OBTAIN A SATISFACTORY COEFFICIENT OF PERFORMANCE.
