Summary

Studies show that ammonia reciprocating compressors in operation today are more and more exposed to severe operating conditions. Combined with standard mineral oils, this results in unacceptably high oil-consumption of compressor systems. Oil management stands for: selecting the optimal components and lubricating oils to minimize the oil leaving the compressor system and entering the refrigeration plant in order to maximize system efficiency.
