Summary
In this report on the venues of the Winter Olympic Games in Albertville (France) in February 1992, the authors firstly recall the general concept of the Winter Olympics and the objective of the Games in 1992 and then describe some refrigerating plants specially constructed for these Olympics. That is to say: the bobsleigh track of La Plagne (choice of a refrigerant, ammonia ; safety), speed skating rink in Albertville (R22 and secondary refrigerant calcium chloride), the skating rink of Albertville, doubling as of a training rink (R22 with direct expansion).
