On-site CFC recovery.
La récupération côté terrain.
Author(s) : CLODIC D.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Detailed description of a practical recovery operation for converting R502 refrigerating equipment of display cabinets for quick-frozen products to use R22, on the occasion of the reorganization of the sales areas in a supermarket. The principle of the conversion is described (devices which are kept and devices replaced) together with the methodology (previous preparation, goods transfer, recovery of R502 in a liquid phase and then in a vapour phase, replacement of equipment, and recommissioning). The precise timing of each operation is given, the conversion having to be made in one night. The quantities of R502 recovered are indicated; the efficiency of the operation is calculated, as well as the instantaneous and mean flowrates during the liquid-phase and vapour-phase recovery. J.R.
