Summary

THERE ARE THREE WAYS OF MAKING SUCH PACKAGES: WITH INSULATING MATERIALS, WITH DRIED ICE, AND WITH INSULATING MATERIALS AND DRIED ICE. IN A TRANSPORT TEST, DIFFERENT SIZES OF THE FIRST TYPE OF PACKAGE CONSISTING OF A DOUBLE FACED CORRUGATED CASE CONTAINING 6 CM OF EPS WERE USED. TO ASSESS THE COOLING CAPACITY OF THE PACKAGES, TEMPERATURE READINGS WERE TAKEN DURING THE TRANSPORT TEST ON EXAMPLES OF THE THREE TYPES OF PACKAGE. THE RESULTS OF THESE TESTS, WHICH ARE SHOWN IN TABLES, INDICATE THAT THE CHOSEN PACKAGES MEET THE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS. IF THE PRODUCT NEEDS A TEMPERATURE OF 273 K (0.C), INSULATING MATERIALS SHOULD BE USED. IF LOWER TEMPERATURES ARE NEEDED, THE PACKAGE WITH DRIED ICE SHOULD BE USED. (INT. PACKAG.
