On the energy consumption and indoor air quality in office and hospital buildings in Athens, Greece.

Summary

Energy audits and a parallel investigation of indoor air quality in 30 air-conditioned and naturally ventilated office buildings in Athens, as well as a hospital building, have been underway since 1990. These audits have been conducted the first time in Greece. The results indicate serious internal air quality problems in office buildings, which have been found to be the direct cause for a number of health problems.
