Summary

The paper presents both theoretical results from a computational fluid dynamics model of a high temperature vertical display case and then proceed to compare these with the experimental results taken from testing the case in the environmental chamber at Brunel University. It is envisaged that the results presented herein will give a better understanding of the behaviour of a refrigerated display case and that its shortcomings can be addressed through redesign to produce more efficient supermarket refrigeration systems.
