OZONE USE IN REFRIGERATED WAREHOUSES.

Type of article: Periodical article

Summary

OZONE IN EXCESS OF 0.1 PPM IN AIR IS DANGEROUS TO HUMANS. IN A CONCENTRATION OF THIS ORDER OR CONSIDERABLY HIGHER IT CAN BE BENEFICIAL IN THE CONTROL OF MOLDS, FUNGI, BACTERIA AND SOME ODOUR-CAUSING CHEMICALS. GREAT CARE MUST BE TAKEN IF OZONE IS TO BE USED, ESPECIALLY AS THE EVIDENCE, ACCORDING TO THIS REPORT, IS SKETCHY AND SOMETIMES CONTRADICTORY. IT IS SUGGESTED THAT FURTHER RESEARCH IS NECESSARY BEFORE OZONE SHOULD BE GENERALLY USED. D.W.H.
