Performance analysis of domestic heat pump units running on CFC substitutes.
Author(s) : BERLINCK E. C., URIU C. A. T., HERBAS T. B., et al.
Summary
A simulation model was used for the analysis. The model is capable of predicting the operating point of the system as a function of equipment characteristics and prevailing thermodynamic conditions. The predicted performances were compared to those of an equivalent R12 unit, showing good agreement. Two alternative refrigerants were studied: R134a and an azeotropic mixture of R12 (87% in weight) and dimethylether (13%).
