Summary

A method is proposed for calculating the performances of refrigerating machines equipped with water-cooled condensers. The calculations were made to determine if the heat-exchange surface areas of the evaporator and the condenser of a particular type of refrigerating machine were sufficient. Seven types of machines manufactured in Russia were analyzed. An example of the application of the calculating method is given. C.C.
