Summary

The advantages of air condensers versus water condensers are indicated. It is shown that the cooling surface and mass, which are significantly larger, the additional energy consumption for driving fans and the high temperature of ambient air during summer, do not justify limiting the use of air condensers. The operation of refrigeration plant in two companies in the meat industry was analyzed, and the calculations made prove that the replacement of water condensers by air condensers can significantly improve their operating characteristics.
