Summary

A THEORETICAL ANALYSIS OF THE COEFFICIENT OF PERFORMANCE WAS UNDERTAKEN TO EXAMINE THE PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE WATER-LITHIUM BROMIDE-ZINC CHLORIDE-CALCIUM BROMIDE SYSTEM (1.0:1.0:0.13 BY MASS, RESPECTIVELY). THE PERFORMANCE OF THIS SYSTEM WAS COMPARED WITH THAT OF THE WATER-LITHIUM BROMIDE SYSTEM AND THAT OF THE OTHER SYSTEMS USING WATER, METHANOL AND AMMONIA. THIS SYSTEM WAS FOUND TO BE SUITABLE FOR AN AIR-COOLED SINGLE-STAGE ABSORPTION REFRIGERATING MACHINE, A SINGLE-STAGE, HIGH TEMPERATURE DOUBLE-EFFECT ABSORPTION HEAT PUMP AND A TWO-STAGE ABSORPTION HEAT TRANSFORMER.
