Summary

Three refrigerant blends: R407A, a zeotrope of HFC-32/HFC-125/HFC-134a, R404A, a near azeotrope of HFC-125/HFC-143a/HFC-134a and R507, an azeotrope of HFC-125/HFC-143a were evaluated and compared to R502 in a commercial-scale low-temperature refrigeration plant. The performance of two refrigerant blends: R407C, a zeotrope of HFC-32/125/134a and R410A, a near azeotrope of HFC-32/125 were compared to R22 in a 10.5-kilowatt residential central heat pump.
