THE RESPIRATION CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PRODUCT MUST MATCH THE PERMEABILITY CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CONTAINER WHEN PACKAGING PRODUCE UNDER CONTROLLED ATMOSPHERE. AEROBIC CONDITIONS MUST BE RETAINED IN THE PACKAGE. A CONTROLLED ATMOSPHERE PACKAGE IS DESCRIBED, WHICH IS USUALLY MADE OF PVC OR POLYPROPYLENE WITH A MYLAR LID. THE ACTIVE PART IS MADE FROM A POLYOLEFIN FILM WHOSE PERMEABILITY IS ADJUSTED TO THE RESPIRATION OF THE PRODUCT. G.R.S.
