Summary
The position, policy and objective of the Chinese government on phase-out of ozone-depletion substances (ODS) and the protection of the ozone layer are described. The implementation programs of CFC (ODS) phase-out in the domestic refrigeration industry and the solvent cleaning industry in China are introduced. Measures which should be taken to meet the new challenge of replacement of CFCs are suggested.
