Summary

In accordance with the above-mentioned Italian law, all the firms, which use ozone depleting substances must communicate the relevant data to ANPA (National Agency for Environment Protection). Many papers have been received by ANPA. As no standard format had been distributed to the firms, some problems arose in data processing. 2,000 sets of data have been analysed for a first elaboration. The article mentions the main results of this work regarding not only refrigerants but also blowing agents, extinguisher fluids, solvents and others: distribution of the answers by types of pollutants, in 1986-93; distribution of the quantities into strata, for R11, R113, and 1,1,1,trichlorethane; percentage of total pollutants for each type of use; variation of the quantities over the period 1986-93 for R11, R12, R22, R113, R141b, 1,1,1,trichlorethane; for R12, variations are respectively mentioned for refrigeration and other types of use; for R22, variations are respectively given for refrigeration, air conditioning and others.
