Summary

COLD WATER SIDE HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENTS AND FRICTION FACTORS WERE OBTAINED FOR PLATE TYPE CONDENSERS. THE EXPERIMENT WAS CARRIED OUT IN THE VELOCITY RANGE OF 0.53 TO 3.4 M/S. THE EMPIRICAL EXPRESSIONS ARE PROPOSED FOR PREDICTING THE WATER SIDE HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT AND COMPARED WITH THE RESULTS OF THE COMMERCIAL PLATE TYPE CONDENSER. FRICTION FACTORS ARE REPRESENTED GRAPHICALLY.
