Summary
HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENTS WERE OBTAINED FOR FILM CONDENSATION ON A VERTICAL FLUTED PLATE. FOUR DIFFERENT FLUTED PLATES WERE USED AS THE TEST PLATE WITH R113 AND R114 AS WORKING FLUIDS. THE TESTS WERE CARRIED OUT OVER A WIDE RANGE OF VAPOUR VELOCITIES. EMPIRICAL CORRELATIONS ARE PROPOSED IN ORDER TO PREDICT THE AVERAGE CONDENSATION HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENTS ON A VERTICAL RECTANGULAR FLUTED SURFACE, WAVY FLUTED SURFACE AND TRIANGULAR FLUTED SURFACE, RESPECTIVELY.
