Author(s) : MEER J. M. van der

Summary

ON BOARD MULTIPURPOSE REFRIGERATED CONTAINER-SHIPS HORIZONTAL OR VERTICAL AIR DUCTS ARE USED. THERE IS ONE AIR COOLER PER GROUP OF CONTAINERS BUT A MODULAR SYSTEM FOR THE REFRIGERATION OF INSULATED CONTAINERS WAS DEVELOPED. THE AUTHOR DESCRIBES THIS SYSTEM. SPECIAL ATTENTION IS GIVEN TO THE TESTS CARRIED OUT IN ORDER TO DETERMINE THE POSSIBILITIES OF TEMPERATURE CONTROL WITH THE REQUIRED ACCURACY. IN ADDITION, THE AUTHOR STATES THAT IN CONNECTION WITH THE REQUIRED DELIVERY RATE OF THE FAN VENTILATION CAPACITY CAN BE DECREASED BY 40 TO 50%.
